I absolutely love the aged look and imperfections in this table rug. It is one of those times when I am not sure I could repeat the process and have such a beautiful result. Another of my rugs that was stitched several years ago. The Family Sampler table mat was the beginning of the pattern design of the same name. Family Sample has a very primitive look of an aged, antique rug. A table mat is a very thin penny rug design perfect for a centerpiece on the table or to hang on the wall. Aged and hand dyed woolens are used in the sampler with a lining of vintage and worn cotton quilt backing. Butchers twine and simple cotton binding complete the look of a childlike primitive antique mat. Beautifully aged for the look and feel of an antique rug. |
