Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty.
I've always had my Kitty pets as a child. They came inside to cuddle
but loved to roam outside and explore. I was very protective of
my cats and every evening a little girl would be on the
doorstep calling...Here Kitty Kitty...Here Kitty, Kitty.

Cat motifs can be found in many antique hooked mat patterns which
of course often found their way to appliqué table mats.
The inspiration for this lovely table mat came from hooked rugs
with just a sprinkle of the pennies in the background.
I stitched this mat many years ago and could not part with it but
now with limited space, I would like my Kitty mat to have a
good home. The wool is taken from an antique wool/cotton blanket.
Each piece was hand dyed a different shade with the lining from a
worn and well used make do quilt.
Beautiful shades, aged to perfection,
my kitties are now ready for a new home.
